At R-TECH we take great care in ensuring high quality test specimens are prepared from materials sent from our customers. Our in-house machine shop manned by highly skilled engineers is equipped with diamond-coated tooling, surface grinder, drilling and milling machines.
We are able to pour moulded casts, or get your pelletised material hot pressed into shape. Allied to this we have polishing equipment to prepare microsections for microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.
We have a great deal of experience in producing high quality specimens from resins. From a simple pour, to hot pressing, we are able to offer every service you require to produce your materials test specimens to both ISO 527 and ASTM D638 specimen dimensions.
Our in-house machine shop is manned by highly skilled engineers experienced in the preparation of non-metallic, composite and metal samples. The workshop is equipped with diamond-coated tooling, surface grinding, drilling and milling machines which can be used for the preparation of regular and irregular composite test specimens.
Microscopy is occasionally required to evaluate the polymer properties in electrical components. Our state of the art automatic polishing equipment for both micro and macro sections, along with our skilled manual polishing techniques, can guarantee a high quality finish for microscopy.
We confirm material type, required test standard and specimen dimensions.
Materials are cast, moulded or selected for preparation as required.
Samples are cut and machined to precise dimensions using specialist tooling.
Specimens are prepared for testing, including polishing or surface preparation where needed.
